Hiya! I’m Aniya!
pronounced: (uh-NIGH-yuh)
I'm a performer from Normal, IL, which is funny because I’m anything but! I have a passion for storytelling and a love for the stage! I’ve been performing since the age of 4 and don't plan on stopping anytime soon—it’s truly where I feel most at home. I’m known for my powerful belt, gorgeous low tones, and grounded acting choices!
I graduated with my BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Michigan University with a minor in American Sign Language in 2025. Offstage, you can find me crocheting in a cozy corner, playing the Sims, looking really good in green ;), or spending time with my little sister—my biggest fan and favorite sidekick. My dream is to inspire brown girls, like her, to follow their passions and know that their stories matter.

I am currently making my Off-Broadway and NYC Debut in Heathers as Martha Dunnstock at New World Stages. This life-changing opportunity has taught me to let go and embrace life's ebbs and flows! Before this, I sailed with Virgin Voyages performing as Demeter in Persephone, and originating the role of Mary in Booked!
I’m excited to dive into new creative opportunities, collaborate with passionate artists, and continue growing both personally and professionally in the heart of the theatre world. Heathers runs until November 8th, so I hope to see you there!
